All Classical Radio has announced that it is the recipient of the largest gift in its history.

The organization revealed that the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust has awarded the radio station with a $750,000 gift to support its new media arts center as part of the organization’s relocation campaign. All Classical Radio is building its new headquarters in downtown Portland with plans to open in July 2024.

This gift will partially fund the construction and design of a main broadcast studio.

“I am extremely grateful to the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust for this transformational investment,” said Suzanne Nance, President and CEO of All Classical Radio, per an official press station issued by the company. “Success in this capital campaign will enable All Classical Radio to build upon its strong 40-year foundation of service to listeners in our region and beyond. The media arts center will expand opportunities for the entire arts community, and will help revitalize our city. I love this place, and its people — and I know what we can accomplish when we work together. With this gift, the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust is leading the charge, propelling us forward, and already inspiring additional support.”

As a result of the support, All Classical’s Board of Directors is kicking off a matching challenge of up to $500,000. With this new gift, the organization has already raised 55 percent of its $1 million capital campaign goal which began in 2023.
