Aline Kutan to Star in Orchestra Classique de Montréal’s ‘An Afternoon in Vienna’

The Orchestre Classique de Montréal will present “An Afternoon in Vienna” on Feb. 16, 2020.

The concert, which will take place at the Victoria Hall in Westmount, will feature soprano Aline Kutan and maestro Boris Brott in a wide range of music.

Among the pieces on the program will be “Mein Herr Marquis” from “Die Fledermaus,” “Air de Vilya” from “The Merry Widow,” the “Czardas” from “Die Fledermaus,” “Wein, Weib und Gesang,” and “Der Hölle Rache” from “Die Zauberflöte.” The concert will also feature other music by Webern, J. Strauss, and Léhar.

Kutan has enjoyed a prestigious international career that has seen her perform at such theaters as the Opéra de Paris, Teatro Colon, Canadian Opera Company, La Scala di Milan, l’Opéra de Montréal, among others.

The concert will be presented in collaboration with the City of Westmount, the Austrian Honorary consulatre general, the Concerts Noncerto, and the Austrian Society of Montreal.
