Alexia Voulgaridou, Christine Rice, Nardus Williams & Nathan Berg Lead Welsh National Opera’s 2026-27 Season

The Welsh National Opera has announced its 2026-27 season.

Puccini’s “La Bohème” will star Carlos Cardoso, Alexia Voulgaridou, Navasard Hakobyan, and Laura Lolita Perešivana. Corinna Niemeyer and Frederick Brown conduct.

Performance Dates: Sept.


Bartok’s “Bluebeard’s Castle” and Stravinsky’s “Oedipus Rex” will be shown in a double bill. The operas will star Nathan Berg, Christine Rice, and Peter Hoare. Lidiya Yankovskaya conducts the production by Joe Hill-Gibbins.

Performance Dates: Sept.


Joseph Bologne’s The Anonymous Lover” will star Nardus Williams and will be conducted by Frederick Brown. Omar Elerian directs.

Performance Dates: March 4-April 9, 2027


“Hedd Wyn: Eisteddfod Atomig” will star Steffan Lloyd Owen, Paul Carey Jones, and Rebecca Evans. Iwan Teifion Davies conducts the production by Steffan Donnelly.

Performance Dates: May 18-22, 2027
