Alexandria Summer Nights to Present Mozart’s ‘Die Zauberlöte’

Alexandria Summer Nights has announced its upcoming production of Mozart’s “Die Zauberlöte” which will run June 8-10.

Thirteen young artists from across the U.S. will perform a full production of the famed opera. The cast includes Evan Katsefes as Tamino beside Veronica Robinson in the role of Pamina. The Queen of the Night will be performed by Madison Barton-Holloway. Anthony Larson is featured as Sarastro and Olivia Troyer sings the role of Papagena with Steven Switzer in the counter-role of Papageno. Colton Smith will sing the role of Monostatos, Katie Buchanan, Alicia Woodberry, and Tara Kitchelt perform as the Three Ladies and Megan Ortman, Amelia Brooks-Everist, and Kara Palermo take on the roles of the Three Spirits.

The faculty includes vocal coaches Lester Green and Vera Danchenko-Stern. Corinne Hayes and John Nardolillo join them as stage director and conductor, respectively.

The first two performances will take place in the Secret Garden. A Sunday matinee will be held at the George Washington Masonic Temple.
