Alessandro Corbelli to Receive Premio Paolo Silveri to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Alessandro Corbelli is set to receive the Premio Paolo Silveri.

The acclaimed Italian baritone will receive the award on Dec. 11 in Treviso, 50 years after he won the Concorso Internazionale per cantanti Toti Dal Monte in Treviso and began his career singing the role of Marcello in “La Bohème.”

The award will be given to Corbello at the Teatro Mario Del Monaco and Corbelli will speak about his life in a conversation with Elena Filini. Additionally, there will be musical performances featuring Federico Brunello, Maria Teresa Leva, Giulia Della Peruta, Matteo Lippi, Alex Martini, and Francesco Milanese. They wil perform excerpts from “La Bohème.”

Throughout his career, Corbelli has performed at many of the leading theaters including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, and Teatro alla Scala. His repertoire includes the works of Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi, Donizetti, and Mozart among others.
