Aleksandra Kurzak Celebrates 100 Performances at the Metropolitan Opera

On Sept. 25, 2024, Aleksandra Kurzak celebrated her 100th performance at the Metropolitan Opera.

The Met said, “The opening performance of this season’s run of ‘Tosca’ marked Kurzak’s 100th Met performance. This season, the company also celebrates the 20th anniversary of her debut on December 10, 2004, as Olympia in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann.”

As noted the soprano made her Met debut as Olympia in “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” and has performed such roles as Micaela in “Carmen,” Adina in “L’Elisir d’Amore,” Musetta in “La Boheme,” Cio-Cio San in “Madama Butterfly,” Gilda in “Rigoletto,” Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel,” Nedda in “Pagliacci,” Blonde in “Die Entführung aus dem Serail,” Violetta in “La Traviata,” Liu in “Turandot,” and the title role of “Tosca.”

Kurzak has also been featured in one HD performance in “Carmen.”

This season she performs in “Tosca” through Oct. 11, 2024.
