
Alekandra Kurzak, Angela Meade, Ludovic Tézier & Alessandra Marianelli Lead Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s 2026 Summer Season
By Francisco SalazarThe Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has announced its 2026 summer season at the Circo Massimo which will take place between June 29 and July 31, 2026.
The season will take place at the venue as the Terme di Caracalla are under renovation.
The season will open with the film “Gladiator” conductor by Ludwig Wicki and featuring the voice of Lisa Gerrard.
Performance Dates: July 3 & 4, 2026
Roberto Bolle will perform with friends.
Performance Date: July 14 , 2026
Verdi’s “Aida” will be directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca and conducted by Daniele Callegari. The casts will include Elena Stikhina, Yolanda Auyanet, and Aleksandra Kurzak in the title role alongside Angela Meade and Valentina Pernozzoli as Amnesia.
The casts will be rounded out by Fabio Sartori and Luciano Ganci as Radames, Ernesto Petti and Ludovic Tézier as Amonasro and Alex Esposito as Ramfis.

Wayne Marshall conducts Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” with soloists Alessandra Marianelli, Thomas Lehman, and Ivan Borodulin.
Performance Date: July 31 , 2026
The season will also include Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet” and concerts by Alessandro Barbero, Patti Smith, Riccardo Cocciante, and Edoardo Bennato.
