The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod has announced its 2022 slate, featuring live concerts and internationally recognized singers.

“It’s an honor to be able to announce the wonderful news that we will return to live music-making in July 2022. In this time of challenges and change, and as we prepare to celebrate our 75th anniversary, our founding principles of promoting peace through the universal languages of music and dance have rarely felt more important or relevant,” said Llangollen’s new Executive Producer Camilla King.

For the purpose of this article we will focus on vocal performances only.

The festival opens with a concert by Russell Watson and Aled Jones, who will perform songs from their joint album “Back in Harmony.”

Performance date: July 7, 2022

Choral finalists will compete for the coveted Choir of the World title and the Pavarotti Trophy.

The festival opens on July 7, and runs through July 10, 2022.
