Alberto Jona Announces New Management
By Francisco SalazarItalian director Alberto Jona has joined Ben Artists for General Management.
Jona has directed numerous operas including Verdi’s “Aida” at the Anfiteatro di Sordevolo, for the Summer season of the Fondazione Teatro Carlo Coccia di Novara. He has also directed at the Niederbayern Landestheater in Passau, Germany, Teatro Coccia Novara, Teatro Regio in Turin and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
Jona is also a musician, and musicologist with an eclectic educational background spanning dance-theater, voice, musicology, and drama. He teaches History of Musical Theater and Musical Dramaturgy at the Conservatorio Giorgio Ghedini in Cuneo, and Fundamentals of Musical Communication at the Università Cattoòica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
Jona also co-founded the Scuola Holden in Turin together with the writer Alessandro Baricco, and is the Artistic Director of Incanti International Puppetry Festival of Turin.
