Airam Hernández, Berna Perles, Carmen Romeu & Alejandro Roy Announces Ópera de Tenerife’s 2025-26 Season

The Ópera de Tenerife has announced its 2025-26 season.

Ópera en minúsculas: Chamber works will be performed in September all around the island.

Pedro Halffter’s “Klara” will be showcased at the Sala de Cámara.

Performance Date: Sept. 7, 2025


The Teatro Leal will showcase “Domitila” by João Guilherme Ripper.

Performance Date: Sept. 13, 2025


“La Plaza” will be performed at the Espacio La Granja.

Performance Date: Sept. 17, 2025


Grigori Frid’s “El diario de Ana Frank” will be performed at the La Salita de Auditorio de Tenerife.

Performance Date: Sept. 19, 2025


Piazzolla’s “María de Buenos Aires” will be showcased at the Espacio La Granja.

Performance Date: Sept. 21, 2025


Niccolò Jommelli’s “Il giocatore” will be performed at Espacio La Granja.

Performance Date: Sept. 26, 2025


The Teatro Leal will showcase “Tristana” by Miguel Huertas.

Performance Date: Sept. 27, 2025


Opera

Heitor Villa-Lobos’s “Yerma” will be performed by Berna Perles, María Miró, Alejandro Roy, Javier Castañeda, and Anna Gomà.

Performance Dates: Oct. 14-18, 2025


Luis Casino sings the title role of Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer.” The cast also includes Vazgen Gazaryan, Ángeles Blancas, and Airam HernándezGuillermo García Calvo conducts the production by Marcelo Lombardero. 

Performance Dates: Nov. 16-22, 2025


Pablo Sorozábal and Pío Baroja’s “Adiós a la bohemia” will star Jaquelina Liviari, Juan Jesús Rodríguez, and Javier Castañeda. Víctor Pablo Pérez conducts the production by Ignacio García. 

Performance Dates: Dec. 5 & 6, 2025


Teresa Iervolino, Ana Vieira Leite, and Mira Alkhovik lead Gluck’s “Orfeo and Euridice.” Jordi Francés conducts the production by Pep Ramis and María Muñoz.

Performance Dates: Jan. 16 & 17, 2026

Airam Hernández and Sofía Esparza star in Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette.” José Luis Gómez conducts the production by André Heller-Lopes.

Performance Dates: March 15-21, 2026


Bartók’s “Bluebeard’s Castle” will be conducted by Jordi Francés​ and directed by Pedro Chamizo.

Performance Dates: April 25 & 26, 2026


The baroque zarzuela “Los celos hacen estrellas y el amor hace prodigios” will be performed with Ruth González.  Aaron Zapico​ conducts and Ricardo Campelo directs.

Performance Dates: May 15-17, 2026


The season concludes with “La verbena de la paloma” by Tomás Bretón. Víctor Pablo Pérez conducts the production by Nuria Castejón with a cast that includes Antonio Comas, Carmen Romeu, and Ana San Martín.

Performance Dates: June 25-27, 2026
