Soprano Ainhoa Arteta and the Sinfónica de Galicia have been nominated for a Goya Award in 2018.

The soprano joined up with the ensemble to record the song “Hasta el ultimo suspiro,” which appears in the film “La Sombra de la Ley.” The movie was directed by Dani de la Torre.

Arteta is coming off a series of performances of Verdi’s “La Traviata at the Teatro Cervantes Malaga. She is set for performances of “Madama Butterfly” in Barcelona in January, followed by appearances as Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni” at the Teatre Principal de Palma.

Later in the year she heads to Tel Aviv for the title role of “Tosca” before returning to Spain for performances of “Andrea Chénier” in Seville. In August 2019 she is programmed for performances as Minnie in “La Fanciulla del West” under the baton of Andrea Battistoni in Beijing.
