Ainhoa Arteta Headlines ‘Manon Lescaut’ in Baluarte
By Francisco SalazarPuccini’s “Manon Lescaut” is set to be performed on Feb. 5 and 7 at the Baluarte Auditorium in Pamplona, Spain.
The opera will be performed in concert form and will star Ainhoa Arteta in the title role and Roberto Aronica as Des Grieux. Manuel Hernández-Silva conducts the work, which is also set to star José Antonio López as Lescaut, Carlos Chausson as Geronte de Ravoir, and Pablo García-López as Edmondo.
Soloists will be joined by the Coro Lírico de la Asociación Gayarre Amigos de la Ópera (AGAO).
Arteta is well known for her interpretation of “Manon Lescaut” as she has performed the opera at the Bolshoi Theatre, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, and the Bilbao Opera. This season Arteta is set to perform at the Palau de lest Arts in “Falstaff” and at the Bilbao Opera in “Tosca.”
