Ainhoa Arteta Headlines INAEM’s European Music Day Celebration

The Instituto Nacional para las Artes Escenicas y la Música has announced that it will stream performances for 10 hours on June 20 to celebrate European Music Day.

There will be a wide range of musical choices throughout the day with some select classical music and vocal performances.

The main event for opera lovers will feature a number of major stars including soprano Ainhoa Arteta who will deliver a program of Zarzuela. She will perform alongside Rosa Torres-Prado, Ramón Grau, Cecilia Bercovich, and Francisco Velázquez. Famed actress Marisa Paredes will recite poems by Federico García Lorca. The performance will start at 7 p.m. CET.

Other major performances on the classical music front will feature Javier Perianes, Josep Pons, Trío Arbós, L’Apotheose, Plural Ensemble, Fabián Panisello, Antonio Serrano, Javier Colina, Josemi Carmona, and Rodrigo Cueva, among others.

European Music Day is usually celebrated on June 21.
