By Francisco Salazar

Editor’s Note: In a previous version of this article we reported that soprano Ainhoa Arteta had suffered a heart attack. However it was brought to our attention by a source close to Ms Arteta that this information was false. We apologize for any distress that the propagation of this false information has caused Ms Arteta and her family and friends in this difficult time. An altered version of the article follows.

According to La Semana, Soprano Ainhoa Arteta’s health is in poor condition and doctors were forced to amputate various fingers. According to the report, the soprano’s extremities were necrotized.

The news comes days after the Spanish reported that the soprano was separating from her husband Matías Urrea.

It also comes a few months after the soprano was hospitalized due to a kidney infection caused by Renal colic. After 10 days in the ICU in an induced coma, the soprano was transferred over to recover.

The soprano is currently in Bilbao. According to sources, after the soprano was diagnosed with COVID-19 earlier this year, she has not been able to recover fully and her latest medical issues have been worsened by the effects of COVID-19.
