Ailyn Perez, Russell Thomas, Joshua Guerrero & Isabel Lenoard Lead Houston Grand Opera’s 2024-25 Season

The Houston Grand Opera has announced its 2024-25 season.

The season opens with Verdi’s Il Trovatore starring Michael Spyres, Ailyn Perez, Raehann Bryce-Davis, Lucas Meachem, and Morris Robinson. Patrick Summers conducts the production by Stephen Wadsworth.

Performance Dates: Oct. 18-Nov. 3, 2024

Isabel Leonard leads Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” with Jack Swanson, Alessandro Corbelli, Iurii Samoilov, and Cory McGee. Lorenzo Passerini conducts the production by Joan Font.

Performance Dates: Oct. 25-Nov. 9, 2024

Joshua Guerrero, Yaritza Veliz, Juliana Grigoryan, Cory McGee, and Edward Parks lead Puccini’s “La Bohème” with Karen Kamensek conducting and John Caird directing.

Performance Dates: Jan. 24-Feb. 14, 2025

Shereen Pimentel, Brenton Ryan, Kyle Coffman, Yurel Echezarreta, Nathan Keen, and Ana Maria Martinez perform in Bernstein’s “West Side Story.” Roberto Kalb conducts the production by Francesca Zambello.

Performance Dates: Jan. 31-Feb. 15, 2025

“Breaking the Waves” by Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek will star Lauren Snouffer, Ryan McKinny, Michelle Bradley, Maire Therese Carmack, David Portillo, and Michael Mayes. Patrick Summers conducts Tom Morris’ production.

Performance Dates: April 19-May 4, 2025

Russell Thomas leads Wagner’s “Tannhäuser” with Tamara Wilson, Sasha Cooke, Luke Sutliff, Alexandros Stavrakakis, and Cory McGee. Erik Nielsen conducts Francesco Zambello’s production.

Performance Dates: April 25-May 11, 2025
