Aigul Akhmetshina, Allan Clayton & the Royal Opera House Lead 2025 Olivier Awards

The Olivier Awards has announced the 2025 nominees.

Here is a list of the opera categories.

The nominees for Best New Opera Production are “Duke Bluebeard’s Castle” from the English National Opera, “Festen” from the Royal Opera House, “L’Olimpiade” from the Irish National Opera and Royal Opera House, and “The Tales Of Hoffmann” from the Royal Opera House.

The nominees for Outstanding Achievement in Opera are Aigul Akhmetshina in “Carmen” at the Royal Opera House, Allan Clayton in “Festen” at the Royal Opera House, and Jung Young-doo in “Lear” at the Barbican Centre.

The Olivier Awards will be presented on April 6 at the Royal Albert Hall and will be hosted by Beverley Knight and Billy Porter.
