MusicScreen has announced its 2026 opera season.

The new announces season will feature operas from major Italian houses showcased in cinema audiences across the UK and Ireland.

The season features productions from the Teatro alla Scala and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.

The first opera of the season will be Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” from the Teatro alla Scala starring Alexy Markov and Aida Garifullina. That will be followed by Wagner’s “Lohengrin” from the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma with Dmitry Korchak and Ekaterina Gubanova.

The final opera will be Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” from the Teatro alla Scala with Elsa Dreisig, Nina Van Essen, Gerald Finley, and Sandrine Piau.

The all operas will be presented in DCP to ensure consistently high audio-visual quality for cinema presentation.
