The Dutch National Opera is set to present Verdi’s “La Traviata” in German stage director Tatjana Gürbaca’s production.

The work will star Romanian soprano Adela Zaharia in the role of Violetta Valéry. She will be joined by Ukrainian tenor Bogdan Volkov and the Armenian tenor Liparit Avetisyan alternating the role of Alfredo Germont. George Petean completes the trio of main roles as Giorgio Germont.

The cast will be rounded out by Michael Wilmering, Roger Smeets, Inna Demenkova, Martina Myskohlid, Salvador Villanueva, and Mark Kurmanbayev.

Italian conductor Andrea Battistoni will conduct the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.

“La Traviata” will be performed eight times from Jan. 27 through Feb. 18, 2024.
