The Staatsoper Stuttgart has announced that it will live stream Wagner’s opera “Das Rheingold” on Dec. 19, 2021 at 5:50 p. m. CET.

The opera stars Goran Jurić as Wotan, Paweł Konik as Donner, Moritz Kallenberg as Froh, Matthias Klink as Loge, Leigh Melrose in the role of Alberich, Elmar Gilbertsson as Mime, David Steffens in the role of Fasolt, Adam Palka as Fafner, Rachael Wilson in the role of Fricka, Esther Dierkes as Freia, Stine Marie Fischer in the role of Erda, Tamara Banješević as Woglinde, Ida Ränzlöv as Wellgunde, and Aytaj Shikhalizade as Floßhilde.

Cornelius Meister conducts a production by Stephan Kimmig, with set design by Katja Haß.

The opera house will also live stream “Die Walküre,” with the performance date yet to be announced.
