Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Competition Announces 2023 Dates

The Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Competition has announced that its 20th edition is set for May 6-13, 2023.

The famed competition, which takes place every two years since its founding in 1985, will feature a jury headlined by Rebekah Rota, Marcin Habela, Keith Bernard Stonum, Beata Klatka, and Competition Artistic Director Małgorzata Walewska.

During the first round of the competition, singers will perform two arias, one selected by the artist and the other by the jury. For the second round, they will showcase three or four pieces as selected by the jury from a submitted program. The final round allows the contestants to perform two arias alongside the Krakow Opera Orchestra.

The competition has launched the careers of such artists as Piotr Beczała, Andrzej Dobber, Milijana Nikolić, Anna Simińska, Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk, Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, and Miriam Albano, among others.

The competition is organized by the Malopolska Cultural Centre SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz. The competition is currently accepting applications until Jan. 16, 2023.
