Kristine Opolais to Headline Recital at Hungarian State Opera
By David SalazarSoprano Kristina Opolais is set to present a recital at the Hungarian State Opera on Sept. 17, 2023.
The showcase will feature that soprano alongside Latvian pianist Agnese Egliņa as the two take opera arias by Puccini, Verdi, Catalina, Cilea, Dvorak, and Ponchielli. Egliņa will also present excerpts from “La Forza del Destino,” “La Gioconda,” and “Madama Butterfly,” as well as Debussy’s “Claire de Lune.”
Following this recital, Opolais is set for performances of “Aida” in Vilnius followed by a starring role in “Lady Macbeth of Mstensk” in Boston and New York.
This recital is presented as part of a series of concerts that will also feature such renowned opera stars as Piotr Beczała, Olga Peretyatko, Ferruccio Furlanetto, and Lisette Oropesa.
