Operalia Competition Announces 2022 Finalists

The World Operalia Competition has announced the finalists for the 2022 edition.

The finalists in the opera category include USA mezzo-soprano Maire Therese Carmack, USA tenor Anthony Ciaramitaro, Armenian soprano Juliana Grigoryan, South Korean bass-baritone Jongwon Han, Finnish soprano Jenni Hietala, South Korean bass In-Ho Jeong, bass, USA tenor Duke Kim, USA tenor, Anthony León, USA tenor James Ley, South Korean baritone Youngjun Park, Spanish soprano Serena Sáenz Molinero, USA mezzo-soprano Emily Sierra, and German countertenor Nils Wanderer.

In the zarzuela category, finalists include US tenor Anthony Ciaramitaro, Armenian soprano Juliana Grigoryan, US tenor Duke Kim, US tenor Anthony León, and Spanish soprano Serena Sáenz Molinero.

The final round of Operalia is set for Oct. 30, 2022 at the Latvian National Opera in Riga, Latvia. Audiences from all over the world will be able to watch the Operalia 2022 Final Gala Concert on Sunday, October 30 at 17.00 CET / 18.00 Local Time, via live broadcast on medici.tv, Facebook live on the medici.tv, Placido Domingo and Operalia accounts, and will also be broadcast by the LTV.lv and Latvijas Radio 3.
