The Welsh National Opera has announced a new podcast that it will launch in English and Welsh.

The English-language series, entitled “The O Word,” will be presented by journalist Gareth Jones, a broadcaster for such organizations as BBC and the United Nations in Geneva.

Meanwhile, the Welsh-language series, called “Cipolwg,” will be led by comedian and journalist Lorna Prichard, who has worked as a broadcast journalist for BBC and on-screen reporter for ITV.

Per a press release, the intention of the podcast series is to imbue listeners with “insight into a touring opera company working on an international scale. It will highlight the relevance of opera today and its power to change lives.”

Episodes for the series will be released on a weekly basis via Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google podcasts, among other means. Audiences can also listen on the company’s official website.
