Symphonic Orchestra of Galicia to Present 9 Live Concerts on YouTube

The Symphonic Orchestra of Galicia will restart its activities with a series of concerts that will be streamed online between June 3-19.

In sum, viewers will get a chance to check out nine performances on the company’s YouTube page with the organization performing behind closed doors at the Teatro Colón de A Coruña, Spain.

The first concert, set for June 3, will feature harpist Celine Landelle and flautist Claudia Walker. On June 4, audiences will get a chance to see cellist Ruslana Prokopenko, violinist Florian Vlashi, violist Raymond Arteaga, and bassoonist Steve Harriswangler. On June 5, the performers set to take the stage include violist Luigi Mazzucato and flautist María José Ortuño.

During the second week, audiences will see violinist Ludwig Dürichen, violinist Carolina Cygan, and violist Jeffrey Johnson perform on June 10. On June 11, a concert will be performed by seven members of the Orphelion Ensemble. And on June 12, five wind soloists will join forces for a performance.

Then on the third week of programming, audiences will get a chance to hear a string quartet comprised of Gabriel Busi, Fumika Yamamura, Adrián Linares Reyes, and Mavi Pedrero on June 17. On June 18, counter-bass players Risto Vuolanne, Serguéi Rechetilov, Fernando y Mario Rodrigues, and Todd Williamson will join forces with cellist Roulsana Prokopenko and trombonist Eyvind Sommerfelt in performance. The series draws to a close on June 19 with a showcase featuring the brass section.
