Isabel Leonard, J’Nai Bridges, Will Liverman Join OmniArts Foundation’s ‘Lean On Me’ Concert Series

The OmniARTS Foundation is set to showcase three “Lean On Me: A Virtual Concert Series for COVID-19 Relief” concerts in late May and early June. .

The three performances, which kick off at 4 p.m. EDT, will be presented live on Facebook and YouTube.

Among those hosting the performances are mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, composers Lori Laitman and Tom Cipullo, and jazz legend Fred Hersch.

For opera fans, the two concerts of note take place on May 23 and June 5. The May 23 concert will focus on American Song and will star Ricky Ian Gordon and Brandie Sutton. The June performance will feature Will Liverman, J’Nai Bridges, and Kevin Miller.

There is also a third concert on May 30 dedicated jazz featuring Fred Hersch.

“I am so happy to lend my time and voice to the Lean On Me Concerts. This is a global effort,” said Leonard in a press release. “Although, I am not a doctor, and can not perform life saving procedures, I do believe that music and art can absolutely heal the body and soul.”
