The New York Festival of Song will team up with Caramoor’s Vocal Rising Stars to present “The Art of Pleasure” on March 17, 2020 at the Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center in New York City.

The concert will feature soprano Elaine Daiber, mezzo-soprano Siena Licht Miller, tenor Terrence Chin-Loy, baritone Thomas West, and pianist Shawn Chang performing repertory by Debussy, Montsalvatge, Toldrà, Tosti, Brahms, Léhar, Leoncavallo, Piazzola, Musto, Rachmaninoff, Dove, Bernstein, Lehrer, and Saint-Saëns, among others.

“The world seems to be going through a very rough patch, so I thought that people needed to take a deep breath and take stock of life’s pleasures—the delight of the seaside in August, the wish-fulfillment of dreams, the intoxication of a new love affair,” stated NYFOS artistic director Steven Blier. “’The Art of Pleasure’ brings all of them to musical life, in music ranging from Rachmaninoff and Montsalvatge to Lehár and Musto. But we also dip into a range of guilty pleasures—private compulsions and obsessions that we usually try to keep under wraps.”

The New York Festival of Song is set to present two additional concerts to close out 2019-20, including “Laura Karpman & Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum: And Still We Dream” and “Mark Campbell & Friends.”
