‘David Bowie’ To Take Centerstage As Part of Opera on Tap’s NYC Fall 2019 Season

Opera On Tap has announced its fall slate for New York City performances.

Everything will kick off with the OOT GALAween, which aims to celebrate Halloween. The event, which will take place at The Old Stone House, with Joanie Brittingham, David Gordon, Eric McKeever, and Krista Wozniak performing. Christopher Berg will accompany at the piano.

Famed soprano Sylvia McNair will also be making an appearance as a special guest.

Performance Date:  Oct. 30, 2019

In November, the company will present “Bowie Goes to the Opera,” a performance at Freddy’s in Brooklyn that will ponder at the possibility of David Bowie going to the opera. There is even an invitation for audience members to dress up as the icon.

Performance Date: Nov. 14, 2019

Finally, in December, the company will present “A Global Warming Hot Hot Holiday Show” which will feature a plethora of holiday music with audience members encouraged to bring some holiday sweaters. The event will take place at Barbés in Brooklyn.
