On Sept. 5, 2019, the Teatro Mayor in Bogotá, Colombia is set to stream Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” on its Teatro Digital service.

The stream comes from an earlier performance during the company’s August run of the opera. The stream is set to star Valeriano Lanchas as Don Bartolo, Pablo Martinez as the Count Almaviva, Paoloa Leguizamon as Rosina, Borja Quiza as the Figaro, Sergio Martínez as Don Basilio, Jacobo Ochoa as Fiorello, Julio Escallón as Ambrogio, and Sara Catarine as Berta.

The Teatro Digital was created to give access to those not at the Teatro Mayor and allow audiences to experience all types of performances right from the comfort of their homes. After “Il barbiere di Siviglia,” the streaming service will present Joyce DiDonato’s concert in November and a Mariachi gala.
