OperaVision will showcase “The Snow Queen” live from the Deutsche Oper Am Rhein Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 starting at 7 p.m. local time.

The opera stars recent Operalia winner Adela Zaharia in the title role with the likes of Dmitri Vargin, Heidi Elisabeth Meier, Annika Kaschenz, Florian Simson, Bryan Lopez Gonzalez, Dimitra Kotidou, Katharina von Bülow, Lukasz Konieczny, Susan Maclean, Aïsha Tümmler, Conny Thimander, and David Jerusalem starring alongside her.

Ville Enckelmann conducts a production directed by Johannes Schmid.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals. OperaVision brings together 30 partners from 18 countries and invites you to travel and discover the diversity of opera from wherever you want, whenever you want.”

In addition to this production, OperaVision is slated to showcase “Turandot” on Jan. 25.
