The American Composers Orchestra (ACO) will honor composer Thea Musgrave as its Artistic Honoree at its Gala and Creative Catalyst Awards on Oct. 27 at Carnegie Hall.

The honor comes as Musgrave approaches her centennial in 2028.

ACO has also begun a partnership with Musgrave’s team to bring her orchestral works to symphonies across the country in connection with EarShot

The gala will be preceded by cocktails and dinner at 5:30 p.m. local time, with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Musgrave is one of the most respected and contemporary composers in the Western world. Her works are performed in major concert halls, festivals, and radio stations on both sides of the Atlantic.
