Sebastian Catana Headlines Pittsburgh Opera’s ‘Rigoletto’

The Pittsburgh Opera is set to present Verdi’s “Rigoletto.”

The opera will be performed at the Benedum Center this October for the first time in 14 years and will be directed by Tomer Zvulun.

Antony Walker will conduct the production which will star Sebastian Catana in the title role, Daniel O’Hearn as the Duke of Mantua, Susanne Burgess as Gilda, Maire Therese Carmack as Maddalena  and Peter Volpe as Sparafucile.

The cast will be rounded out by Jason Budd, Logan Wagner, Drew Comer, Maya Davis,  Ayanna Delk-Lewis, Léa Nayak, and Erik Nordstrom.

“Rigoletto” will open on Oct. 10 and will run through Oct. 16, 2026.
