
Sesto Quatrini Appointed Music Director of the Carlo Felice Teatro in Genoa
By Francisco SalazarSesto Quatrini has been named the new Music Director of the Carlo Felice Teatro in Genoa.
He will assume the new position starting from in the 2027-28 season, for a three-year period until 2030. Quatrain will also accompany the theater in its Bicentenary in 2028.
In his new position, Quatrini will lead three productions and four symphonic programs, as well as possible special projects. He will work alongside Superintendent Michele Galli and Artistic Director Federico Pupo in programming the next three years.
At the Teatro Carlo Felice, Quatrain has already conducted such works as “Anna Bolena” and “Il turco in Italia,” and “Macbeth.” This season he will lead a production of “Nabucco.”
Over the years Quatrini has conducted at major theaters including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Rossini Opera Festival, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Regio di Torino, La Monnaie in Brussels, Royal Danish Opera, and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
