The Metropolitan Museum of Art will present “An Exploration of Opera” as part of its “Creative Convening: Musical Bodies” program.

Headlining the event will be countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, who will  perform alongside pianist Bryan Wagorn starting at 11 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2026.

The performance will be followed by numerous music-related events including “An Exploration of Whistling,” “An Exploration of Throat Singing,” “An Examination of the Throat,” among many others.

The day-long event will take place at the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at The Met Fifth Avenue.
