International Vocal Competition (‘s-Hertogenbosch) to Host ‘From Cradle to Competition & Beyond’ Event
By David SalazarThe International Vocal Competition (‘s-Hertogenbosch) will host “From Cradle to Competition and Beyond,” a round table on vocal and talent development in the Netherlands, on Oct. 10 at Theater aan de Parade in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
The event is presented jointly with the Prinses Christina Concours and the Margreet Honig Foundation as part of the 59th IVC Opera | Oratorio. The round table will bring together singing teachers, singers, conservatoires, competitions, and organizations involved in vocal training, aiming to dissect the current pathway from early vocal discovery to professional careers and to develop opportunities for collaboration across the field.
Additionally, the Competition will also present two OperaPopUp events ahead of the competition. On Sept. 12, during Open Monuments Day, soprano Irene Hoogveld will give a recital with pianist Ben Martin Weijand at three locations in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
On Sept. 19, mezzo-sopranos Linsey Coppens and Anna Trombetta and soprano Elizabeth Eunsoo Lee will perform during the Bourgondisch ‘s-Hertogenbosch festival on the Parade main stage.
