Events.com, the infrastructure behind live events and experiences, has announced the completed acquisition of Operabase, the performing arts’ definitive platform for discovery, casting and professional data, operated by Copenhagen-based Arts Consolidated ApS.

Events.com noted that it is committed to supporting and expanding Operabase’s next-generation AI and data technologies. As a result of the acquisition, the combined Events.com and Operabase will extend the platform’s information engine and data graph across all categories of live events worldwide.

Operabase has spent 30 years collecting, verifying and structuring the record of truth for live performances with human oversight. The result is a first-party interactive archive and data graph of more than one million productions, built natively in 31 languages, trusted by the world’s leading performing arts organizations to cast roles and plan seasons, drawing millions of organic visits a year.

With the help of Events.com, Operabase will continue to focus on serving the needs of the influential performing arts community, with continued investment in the product, data and capabilities its customers have come to rely on to help them be discovered and recognized for their work.
