
Austin Symphony Orchestra Unveils 2026-27 Board of Trustees
By David SalazarThe Austin Symphony Orchestra has announced its incoming Board of Trustees for the 2026-27 season.
Johannes Brinkmann, Dr. Soriya Estes, Ben Heitner, Sylvia Mayer, Adriel “A.J.” Meditz, and Kumar Parakala join the board. Jay Stewart and James “Jim” Green continue in leadership roles as Board President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, respectively, beginning Sept. 1, 2026.
Brinkmann brings three decades of experience in the semiconductor industry, having served as Chief Financial Officer of AM Technical Solutions and President and CEO of the United States operations of STEAG Electronic Systems. He also served as President of the Austin Civic Orchestra and board member and cellist with the Central Texas Medical Orchestra.
Estes, Founder of Think Purple Consulting, has partnered with the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians since 2009 and has held leadership roles with KMFA Classical Public Radio.
Heitner, a finance and planning professional at Adobe, previously served as President of Austin Symphony Orchestra BATS. Mayer, Director of Operations at Cover Desk, served more than 10 years with Symphony BATS, including as President.
Meditz, Senior Private Banker at PNC and Hawthorn Private Bank, has been involved with Austin Opera and the Austin Symphony Board of Directors.
Parakala, CEO, North America, of Tabhi Inc., has served on corporate, nonprofit, and advisory boards across the United States, Australia, and Asia Pacific.

Their perspectives will help the ASO continue to grow, serve our community, and inspire audiences throughout Central Texas.”
