
Deanna Tham Named Music Director of Redlands Symphony
By Francisco SalazarThe Redlands Symphony has appointed Deanna Tham as the next Music Director & Conductor.
The orchestra said, “We received thousands of comments and survey answers when our three conducting finalists were in town at the beginning of the season. Each candidate came to Redlands with a unique voice, a depth of musical knowledge and experience, and a curiosity about how to make Redlands and the surrounding communities a musical hotspot for connection, enrichment, and excellent quality of life.”
It continued, “After a process lasting almost 2 years, the Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Deanna Tham as the 9th Music Director and Conductor of the Redlands Symphony.”
Tham is also the Music Director of the Union Symphony (NC) and has held positions with Oregon, Omaha, and Jacksonville Symphonies as well as numerous prestigious guest conducting positions across the country and the world. he has held positions as Assistant Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra and Assistant Conductor of the Chicago Sinfonietta with Maestro Mei-Ann Chen.
