Ryan Speedo Green, Monica Conesa, Rihab Chaieb & Joshua Guerrero Lead Atlanta Opera’s 2026-27 Season

The Atlanta Opera has announced its 2026-27 season.

The season opens with Kevin Puts’ “Silent Night” starring Kameron Lopreore, Sylvia D’Eramo, Luke Sutliff, and Aleksey Bogdanov. Iván López Reynoso conducts the production by Tomer Zvulun.

Performance Dates: Nov. 7-15, 2026


The company will present Peter Rothstein’s “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” as part of the Discoveries Series. Matt Torney directs.

Performance Dates: December 2026 for 20 performances


Rihab Chaieb stars in Bizet’s “Carmen” with Joshua Guerrero, Łukasz Goliński, and Andrea Carroll. Brenna Corner directs.

Performance Dates: Jan 30-Feb 7, 2027


Ryan Speedo Green stars in Wagner’s “The Flying Dutchman” with Wendy Bryn Harmer, and Andrew Potter. Iván López Reynoso conducts the production by Tomer Zvulun.

Performance Dates: March 13-21, 2027


Monica Conesa headlines Puccini’s “Tosca” with Jorge Puerta and Ernesto Petti. Iván López Reynoso conducts the production by Tomer Zvulun.

Performance Dates: May 1-9, 2027


NOW Festival

The company will present Tazewell Thompson’s “Jubilee” directed by the composer himself. Dianne Adams McDowell will be in charge of vocal arrangements and music direction.

Performance Dates: June 2027 (TBD)


The second opera will be Dina Pruzhansky and Hai-Ting Chinn’s “Rosenbaum and Li (Rose, Tree)” work.

Performance Dates: June 2027 (TBD)


The company will also present the 96-Hour Opera Project.
