
Alberto Miguélez Rouco to Lead Wrocław’s Early Music Academy’s ‘Vendado es amor, no es ciego’
By David SalazarOn March 1, 2026 the Wrocław’s Early Music Academy will headline a performance of José de Nebra’s baroque zarzuela “Vendado es amor, no es ciego.”
The production will be headlined by Leonor Bonilla, Natalie Pérez, Alicia Amo, Elionor Martínez, Judit Subriana, and Yannick Debus. Rafał Kronenberger plays the narrator and Alberto Miguélez Rouco, who previously produced the work’s first ever commercial recording for Glossa in 2019, conducts and performs at the harpsichord. Joining them will be the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra and the NFM Choir.
The zarzuela premiered in Madrid in 1744 with a libretto by José de Cañizares, “Vendado es amor, no es ciego.”
The performance kicks off at 6 p.m. local time.
