Bampton Classical Opera will present its annual St Beornwald’s-tide concert on Dec. 17, 2025 at 7 p.m. at St Mary’s Church in Bampton, Oxfordshire.
The performance features Bampton Classical Voices, Bampton Classical Players, and conductor Andrew Griffiths.
This year’s program centers on Charpentier’s “Messe de minuit pour Noël” for five voices, two recorders, strings, and continuo. The mass, built on traditional French noël melodies, anchors an evening of seasonal Baroque repertoire.
Additional works include Purcell’s “Behold, I bring you glad tidings, Buxtehude’s cantata “Das neugeborne Kinderlein,” as well as works by Weckmann, Rosenmüller, Caresana and Manfredini.
Mulled wine will be available before the concert and during the interval.
