Franz Schubert Filharmonia & Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra Team Up for Mahler Symphony No. 2 ‘Resurrection’

The Franz Schubert Filharmonia and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra will unite under the baton of Tomàs Grau to perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection.”

The concert, set for Nov. 14, 2026 at 10:30 p.m. at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia.

The performance features the National Choir of Colombia and soprano Katja Maderer and mezzo-soprano Martina Baroni as the soloists.

Born in Passau, Maderer has performed in festivals such as Schubertíada, ION Nuremberg, and Young Classic Europe. Meanwhile, Baroni has performed at the Teatro Regio di Torino, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and international festivals across Italy, France, and Brazil.
