Carmen Giannattasio, Vittorio Grigolo, Ambrogio Maestri, Carlo Lepore Headline Royal Opera House Muscat’s 2025-26 Season

The Royal Opera House Muscat has unveiled its 2025-26 season.

Here are the operas and classical vocal performances on offer.

The season opens with the world premiere of Hisham Gabr and Nader Salah El Din’s “Sinbad: The Omani Sailor.” Co-produced with Müpa Budapest, the opera features singers, soloists, and choirs from across the Arab World. Joining them is the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Performance Dates: Oct. 3 & 5, 2025


Puccini’s “Tosca” takes centerstage in a production starring Carmen Giannattasio, Vittorio Grigolo, and Ambrogio Maestri. Davide Livermore directs and Fabio Mastrangelo conducts.

Performance Dates: Jan. 29 & 31, 2026


Hélène Mercier and Louis Lortie lead Liszt’s arrangement of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony for two pianos and choir.

Performance Dates: Jan. 30, 2026


Carlo Lepore headlines “Don Pasquale.” Francesco Lanzillotta conducts the Andrea De Rosa productions.

Performance Dates: April 9 & 11, 2026
