92Y to Resume In-Person Events with Alyson Cambridge and Friends in Concert

By Chris Ruel

For the first time since March 2020, the Kaufmann Concert Hall will open its doors for in-person events. Soprano Alyson Cambridge, along with members of the Glimmerglass Festival Young Artist Program, will take to the stage in front of a limited audience on May 3, 2021, at 7:00 P.M. EDT.

The event, which is part of 92Y’s Almost Home: A Spring Reunion Season and is presented in collaboration with Glimmerglass, will feature Cambridge performing her signature arias. The Young Artists will present highlights from their upcoming season.

Guests include soprano Lisa Marie Rogali (Young Artists Program member 2020, 2021), and Program alums baritone Justin Austin and pianist Anna Betka. The program features the music of Mozart, Donizetti, Mascagni, and others, and the concert will close with the love duet from “Pagliacci.” Following the performance, Cambridge will hold a Q & A with the Young Artists about their training and career path.

Tickets are $20 to attend or stream, with the concert stream available for one month after the broadcast date.
