Russian soprano Elene Gvritishvili has won first prize at the 17th Pietro Antonio Cesti International Singing Competition in Innsbruck.

The soprano also won the Engagement within the scope of Milano Arte Musica.

Second prize went to the Spanish mezzo Laura Orueta, who also won the Concert or opera engagement with “Il Gusto Barocco / Jörg Halubek.”

The third and audience prize winner was Brazilian bass-baritone Luis-Felipe Sousa. He also won a concert within the scope of the Resonanzen Wien.

Finally, the Young Artists Award went to Russian mezzo Lora Grigorieva.

Other prizes included the Allegorica Award, which went to Valentina Ferrarese. The Participation at the Festwochen Masterclass with Anna Bonitatibus was awarded to Valentina Ferrarese, Milena Meinhardt, Brett Pruunsild, Héctor Ruiz Vilches, and Alessandro Vianelli, who also won an Engagement with Scherzi Musicali.

This year’s jury included Sebastian Schwarz, Anna Bonitatibus, Eva-Maria Sens, Boris Ignatov, Paolo Monacchi, Ottavio Dantone, and Francesco Corti.
