11th International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition Announces Finalists

The jury of the 11th International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition has announced the finalists for the competition.

Twelve singers were selected to compete in the final concert on June 11, which will see the finalists perform at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera under the baton of Maestro Andriy Yurkevych. Each of the finalists will perform a Polish opera, oratorio or operetta aria (sung in Polish or translation) and an opera aria from the world repertoire not performed in previous stages.

The final auditions will be accompanied by a recital by countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński and pianist Michał Biela. The concert is set to be broadcast live via VOD of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, the international streaming platform OperaVision and on the air of the Polskie Radio Program II. It will also be a rebroadcast on TVP Kultura.

During the semi-finals the jury also awarded the following prizes:

The Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera Prize for the most beautiful performance of a Polish song in the amount of 3,000 Euros

[74] GABRIEL ROLLINSON – GERMANY/NIEMCY – BARITONE

The prizes for the best young pianist in the amount of 2,000 Euros
