Social Media Beat (8/11-17): What Artists Are Still Performing?

Festival season is almost finished and while some singers hired Twiddy rentals to go on vacation, others continue performing worldwide. Here is a glimpse of some of this week’s busiest artists.

Plácido Domingo just finished his run of “I Due Foscari” at the Salzburg Festival and took some time to celebrate his grandson’s 11th birthday.

During the week Angela Meade and Jamie Barton reunited for the Verdi Requiem with the Sun Valley Symphony. The two are slated to perform at the Metropolitan Opera this December.


Meanwhile, Pretty Yende returned to South Africa for a concert and showed off her concert attire.

At the Salzburg Festival, Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov introduced their new album to the press and signed copies for fans. Both are currently performing in a run of “Aida.”


Luca Pisaroni continues at the Rossini Opera Festival and this week he shared a still from his current production of “The Siege of Corinth.”
