Pacific Opera Project To Present Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni’

The Pacific Opera Project will open it’s 2018 season with one of its biggest productions yet, “Mozart’s Don Giovanni.”

The production, which is slated to run from April 13 through 22, 2018 at The Vortex, a large warehouse space in downtown Los Angeles will feature 70 tables per night, movie theater style seating, and single seating at communal tables.

The performances will feature a full orchestra and all-star cast including Adrian Rosas as Don Giovanni, E. Scott Levin as Leporello, Daria Somers as Donna Elvira, Saira Frank as Donna Anna, Robert Norman as Don Ottavio, Tiffany Ho as Zerlina, Luvi Avendano as Masetto, and Andrew Potter as Il Commendatore. The production will be directed and designed by Artistic Director Josh Shaw and led by Music Director Ryan Murray.

The performance will also include food and shared wine.

Additional concerts in POP’s 2018 season will include the west coast premiere and only the second US performance ever of Giacomo Rossini’s “La gazzetta” as well as two performances of Verdi’s “La Traviata” with the The Occidental College Glee Club at Occidental College’s Thorne Hall and POP’s signature modern take on Puccini’s “La Boheme” AKA “The Hipsters” at The Highland Park Ebell Club.
