OperaVision 2018-19 Live Stream Preview: Watch John Turturro’s ‘Rigoletto’ From Palermo

Verdi’s “Rigoletto” will be live stream from the Teatro Massimo Palermo on Oct. 19, 2018.

The famed repertory classic will feature George Petean in his signature role alongside Maria Grazia Schiavo as Gilda and Giorgio Berrugi as the Duke of Mantua. The opera will also feature Luca Tittoto, Martina Belli, and Carlotta Vichi, among others.

The stream kicks off at 6:30 p.m. local time. That’s around 12:30 p.m. EDT and 9:30 a.m. PST for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on Opera Vision until Nov. 11, 2018.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals.

“OperaVision brings together 30 partners from 18 countries and invites you to travel and discover the diversity of opera from wherever you want, whenever you want.”
