Olga Peretyatko Announces Divorce

Olga Peretyatko has announced she has filed for divorce from conductor Michele Mariotti.

The soprano took to Facebook where she revealed that following a difficult year, she chose to part ways with her husband. She also noted that the news was not made official. The soprano posted a picture of the Liszt’s “O Liebe” noting that throughout the year she could not contain her tears or her emotions during performances. However, she did state that she has grown as an artist and that she will cancel her upcoming “Don Giovanni” at the Teatro di Bologna, where she was slated to perform alongside Mariotti in December.

Peretyatko recently took on a recital at the Teatro alla Scala and is set to perform in Moscow as well as a concert with Elina Garanca this summer. The summer will also see her take the stage alongside Juan Diego Flórez. Peretyatko will also make her role debut as Rosina in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at Orange and is also scheduled to make her role debut in the title role of “Anna Bolena” in Liège.
