Pittsburgh Opera will revive Puccini’s “La Bohème.”

The production, which is set to star Nicole Cabell as Mimì and Sean Pannikar as Rodolfo, will be conducted by Jean-Luc Tingaud and directed by Stephanie Havey.

The two lead singers in this production are both veterans of TV singing competitions. Panikkar, a Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist alum, was a star on America’s Got Talent in 2013 as a member of the vocal group Forte while Cabell won the 2005 BBC Singer of the World Competition in Cardiff, Wales.

Craig Verm will sing the role of Marcello and Sari Gruber will interpret Musetta. Meanwhile, Ben Taylor and Tyler Zimmerman will appear as Schaunard and Colline, respectively.

The opera will be performed four times from March 30 through April 7, 2019.

Later in the season, Pittsburgh Opera will present “Don Pasquale” with Lisette Oropesa as Norina.
